A Boiler Safety Group is an integrated, critical assembly designed to provide comprehensive protection and operational control for hot water boiler systems. Its primary function combines three essential safety mechanisms: a pressure relief valve to automatically release excess pressure and prevent catastrophic over-pressurization; a pressure gauge for real-time visual monitoring of system pressure; and a unique combination valve that integrates additional functions like flow regulation, check valve, or fill valve features to maintain safe water levels and prevent backflow. This integrated unit ensures system safety, operational stability, and compliance with stringent heating codes, safeguarding against damage and hazardous conditions in commercial and residential boiler installations.

Product Feature and Application

A Boiler Safety Group 1 is an integrated protection assembly for autonomous heating and domestic hot water (DHW) systems (up to 10 bar). It combines three critical functions into one brass body to ensure operational stability.

Pressure Protection: An integrated safety relief valve automatically discharges water if pressure exceeds the set limit, preventing tank or pipe rupture.

Air Removal: An automatic air vent continuously bleeds gases, preventing "air locks," noise, and internal corrosion.

Monitoring: A built-in manometer provides real-time visual tracking of system pressure.

Used in closed-loop heating and DHW systems, it protects boilers and indirect water heaters from thermal expansion. It is essential for maintaining safety in private homes with independent gas, electric, or solid-fuel heat sources.

Working Principle

The Boiler Safety Group 1 functions as an automated "watchdog" for your heating system. Upon commissioning, the automatic air vent immediately begins purging trapped gases to ensure efficient circulation and prevent corrosion.

During normal operation, the manometer provides constant diagnostics: low readings suggest a leak or expansion tank failure, while high readings warn of overheating or steam generation. In an emergency, if pressure hits the 3-bar limit, the safety valve triggers instantly, discharging excess fluid to prevent a catastrophic pipe or boiler rupture.

Installation and operation instructions

Location: Install the Boiler Safety Group 1 directly at the outlet of the heat generator or boiler.

Clear Path: Ensure there are no shut-off valves installed on the piping between the Safety Group and the protected unit.

Orientation: Mount the unit so that the air vent and safety valve are perfectly vertical. Position the pressure gauge to be easily visible to the operator.

Pre-Installation Check: Before installation or any removal, verify that the pipeline system is fully depressurized.

Operation & Safety Requirements

Operating Limits: Operate the Safety Group only within the specified temperature and pressure ranges (max. 1.0 MPa / 10 bar) as stated in this manual.

Preventative Maintenance: To prevent the safety valve spool from seizing, manually test the valve at least once per month. Perform this test by turning the valve handle clockwise until a distinct click is heard.

Safety Mandate: Never use the Safety Group in systems exceeding its rated maximum pressure of 1.0 MPa.
